The Western Front Society is Canada’s oldest existing non-profit artist-run center and is located at 303 East 8th St. Vancouver. Terris and Company General Contractors ltd. (TerrisCo), have completed many Large scale Tenant Improvement projects over the last 10 years in cooperation with the Western Front, its Architects, Engineers, and Heritage Consultants. Past phased upgrades include a comprehensive overhaul of the Grand Luxe Hall performance space, remodeling the artist in residence suite, and a total rebuild and enlargement of the ground floor lobby. Across these projects TerrisCo managed all large-scale structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, insulation, envelope and finishing aspects on the interior and exterior of the building. We are currently engaged in the replacement of the heritage double hung windows at the West and South elevations of the building as well as restoring select areas of the envelope and interior finishing in this latest restoration phase. This work, which is now in process, is expected to be completed in the spring of 2024. TerrisCo is proud of our ongoing association with the Western Front and value the working relationship we have earned over our many years of collaboration.
